Gadchiroli pvt unaided school: Register for sporting events says DSO

GADCHIROLI: Gadchiroli: Single-discipline sports associations in the district have been asked to register with the district sports officer's office by Nov 2 for the 2026-27 non-grant school sports competitions.

District sports officer Bhaskar Ghatale has appealed to the associations to register their names and submit documents proving they are authorised bodies by the deadline.

The district sports council and the district sports officer's office will jointly organise school competitions at various levels. A total of 46 government-recognised non-grant sports, including newly added games, are covered. The competitions will be held with the technical and financial support of the respective associations in the district.

The sports include ashtedu akhada, unifight, kudo, speedball, teng-su-do, field archery, texball cricket, mini golf, super seven cricket, belt wrestling, floorball, Thai boxing, halfkido boxing, rope skipping, silambam, woodball, tennis volleyball, thang ta martial art, kurash, lagori, tug of war, powerlifting and beach volleyball.

Also included are targetball, tennis cricket, jeet kune do, futsal, korfball, table soccer, hoop kwon do, yug mun do, vovinam, drop row ball, grappling, pentaque, langdi, jumprope, sport dance, chalkball, choi kwon do, football tennis, budo, musical chair, tennis ball cricket, kalaripayattu and gatka.

The office said the associations should register within the deadline along with the documents to make planning and organising the district-level school sports competitions easier.
