Bhavan's BVM Ashti educators join AI and computational thinking workshop

NAGPUR: Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex hosted a workshop on Building the Future with Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence as part of the CBSE District-Wise Capacity Building Initiative.
The workshop was led by Sonia Garcha, a member of CS Pathshala and ACM Indian Education initiative Pune, and Dr Ravindra Keskar, Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Associate Dean at VNIT Nagpur, along with his expert team.
Sonia Garcha spoke about the foundation of computational thinking and AI readiness, covering abstraction and progressive pedagogy for computational thinking for grades III to VIII. She noted that mathematics is the cornerstone of computational thinking and will be integrated across subjects at the middle stage.
Dr Ravindra Keskar briefed participants about the impact of AI on real-world context, responsible use of AI and assessment in pedagogy through computational thinking and AI.
Participants explored the fundamentals of computational thinking and the role of artificial intelligence in education through presentations, interactive discussions and hands-on activities.
NSSC Chairperson Vandana Bisen extended gratitude to the resource persons. The office bearers of Nagpur Sahodaya Schools Complex, Vice Chairperson Secretary Lucky Sadrani, Joint Secretary Pallavi Chakkilala, Treasurer Fr Shine Augustine, Joint Treasurer Padmaja Marathe and Apoorva Pande worked for the success of the workshop.
