CPS (Katol Road) alumnus Chirag Kubde wins ICMR research grant

NAGPUR: Centre Point School alumnus Chirag Kubde, a final-year MBBS student at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College (IGGMC), Nagpur, has been awarded a research grant by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for work in microbiology and medical applications of technology.
Kubde has also been selected for the IFMSA Research Exchange Program (SCORE) for the academic year 2026-2027, under which he will undertake a one-month international research clerkship in the Czech Republic. During this exchange, he will be placed in an approved research department under the supervision of a host mentor, contributing to ongoing projects and gaining exposure to international academic and laboratory practices through the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations.
Additionally, Kubde serves as a Capacity Building Trainer with the Medical Students' Association of India (MSAI) and IFMSA, conducting workshops for medical students across the country on innovation, negotiation, logical reasoning, logistics and leadership skills.
