NAGPUR: Centre Point School, Katol Road, secured 1st place at the National Aeromodelling Competition titled 'Laws of Motion' held at IIT Kharagpur during Kshitij 2026, Asia's largest techno-management festival, on January 17–18, 2026, at the Tata Sports Complex. Over 80 teams across India participated in the competition, which required participants to design, build, and fly model aircraft capable of payload carrying and precise dropping within technical constraints.

On Day 1, teams demonstrated payload endurance by carrying golf balls and maintaining a minimum flight time of 30 seconds. The top 30 teams qualified for the final round on Day 2. In the final round, each team had two attempts to carry the maximum number of golf balls and drop them within a 20-metre circular drop zone.

The CPS team set a new all-time record by carrying and dropping 47 golf balls, surpassing the previous record of 42. The winning team comprised Ssanidhya Jain, a Grade 11 student, and Akshat Shukla, an ex-student (Batch 2024) currently pursuing engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai. The team was guided by aeromodelling instructors Zubin Khambata and Neeraj Gupta.

Ssanidhya Jain also participated in the Drone Flying Competition at IIT Kharagpur and secured 2nd Prize.
