CPS (Katol Road) student Haripriya Dandare earns global literary honours

NAGPUR: Haripriya Dandare of Centre Point School, Katol Road, has earned recognition across national and international literary and academic platforms. Her poetry collection Still, He Became... published by BookLeaf Publishing alongside Still, She Became… won the international Emily Dickinson Award.

At the National Young Authors Fair organised by BriBooks in partnership with EducationWorld, Haripriya's work The Train of Paper Cranes achieved National Best-Seller and State Best-Seller status and received Young Author's Distinction, Honour, and Laureate recognitions.

Her short story The Last Thing She Learned was selected among the Top 50 entries in the National Young Authors Challenge by Big Red Education and published in an official anthology by Penguin India. She was felicitated at a recognition ceremony at the Kunzum x Penguin bookstore in Greater Kailash II, New Delhi.

At the John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize 2026, Haripriya earned Very High Commendation in Psychology, High Commendation in Science and Technology and Psychology, and Commendation in Theology. The Institute awarded her a scholarship offer announced at the Grosvenor House ceremony in London.

Haripriya also received an Honourable Mention in the 2026 Cambridge Re:Think Essay Competition.
