CPS (Wardhaman Nagar) marks 80th Independence Day with patriotic programme

NAGPUR: Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Principal Kanchan Ukey unfurled the tri-colour. The programme was conducted by student council members Kavyaraj Agrawal and Anushka Bishnoi.
The day began with a patriotic song sung by Trishika Varthi of Class IV. Anushka Bishnoi delivered a speech highlighting the struggles of freedom fighters and the nation's responsibilities to guard independence. Adityanarayan Tiwari and Tasneem Vali presented Shourya Gatha, narrating the heroism of Captain Vikram Batra who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War, emphasising that bravery is not about the ability to fight but about character that does not break when the nation faces difficult times.
Class VII students enacted the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Kritika Luche and Aarohi Taywade, students of Class VIII, presented a Marathi Samvad depicting a conversation between a soldier and his mother, reflecting the sacrifices of soldiers and their families. Class V students performed a group dance celebrating the nation's rich culture.
Samar Methai, a Class VII student, recited a self-composed poem exploring themes of freedom and social inequality. The programme concluded with the felicitation of Class X and XII toppers in the CBSE Board Examinations (2025-26), followed by remarks from Principal Kanchan Ukey on the importance of self-discipline and respecting elders.
