DPS (Kamptee Road) Grade VIII-G students conduct assembly on social media

NAGPUR: Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur conducted a morning assembly on August 5, 2026 on the theme 'The Digital Mirror: Does Social Media Reflect the Real You?' presented by students of Grade VIII-G.
The assembly aimed to create awareness about the influence of social media on young minds. A skit portrayed how the pursuit of online validation and the pressure to maintain a perfect digital image can affect one's confidence and identity. Through relatable situations, the students conveyed that true happiness and self-worth come from self-acceptance, relationships and responsible use of social media rather than likes, comments or followers.
The assembly also included the presentation of the day's news. Principal Yogeeta Umalkar noted the relevance and thoughtfulness of the theme and encouraged students to use social media wisely, maintain a healthy balance between the virtual and real world and value authenticity and human connections.
