NAGPUR: Delhi Public School (Kamptee Road) held an assembly on July 31, 2026 themed on 'Unsung Heroes', presented by Grade X-H students to pay tribute to the unknown freedom fighters and national heroes whose courage and sacrifice played a vital role in India's journey to independence.
The assembly opened with a positive affirmation. Through a skit titled 'The Real Superheroes', students portrayed the lives and sacrifices of lesser-known freedom fighters, conveying that true heroes serve the nation selflessly without seeking recognition. The programme also included thought for the day and a news segment.
Principal Yogeeta Umalkar appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and encouraged everyone to remember the sacrifices of the nation's unsung heroes and uphold the values of patriotism, responsibility and selfless service in their daily lives.
