NAGPUR: Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur conducted a special morning assembly on the theme ‘Sorry, Forgive, Smile Again’ for the students of Grade II (Lotus) on October 13, 2026.
The assembly aimed to instil the values of forgiveness, kindness and empathy, and to help students understand the importance of apologising sincerely and spreading happiness. It commenced with a warm welcome, followed by a thought on forgiveness. The students highlighted that saying sorry was not a sign of weakness but a reflection of courage and good character.
A short and engaging skit illustrated how small misunderstandings could hurt feelings and how a sincere apology, followed by forgiveness, could restore friendships and bring back happiness. The thought for the day further emphasised the importance of kindness and empathy.
A melodious song added an emotional touch to the assembly and reinforced the message that letting go of anger and resentment could help individuals heal and move forward with a positive outlook. The assembly helped students understand that forgiveness fosters peace, strengthens friendships and brings happiness. It encouraged them to choose kindness over anger, understanding over blame and smiles over sadness.
