DPS (Mihan) celebrates Independence Day with cultural programmes and awards

NAGPUR: Delhi Public School, Mihan, celebrated Independence Day with flag hoisting by Chief Guest Colonel (Dr.) Ivan Singh (Retd.), an Indian Army veteran, entrepreneur and social worker.
The Chief Guest stated that youngsters will shape India's tomorrow with their talent and character, highlighting the importance of teachers in guiding young minds.
Principal Nidhi Yadav urged students to stay rooted in their culture and contribute to nation-building as torch bearers with compassion and kindness.
The celebration featured cultural performances including a classical Bharatnatyam dance, a poem recitation on "The Dawn of Freedom", a patriotic song and a Nukkad Natak on freedom from social evils.
A House Trophy and Scholar Badge Distribution Ceremony recognised students who achieved consistent academic performance over three years.
President and Pro Vice-Chairperson Tulika Kedia and Director Savita Jaiswal participated online.
