NAGPUR: Delhi Public School Mihan concluded the Pro Vice Chairperson Cup 2026-27 with the fourth and final day of football, with final matches of all four age groups: Under-12 boys, Under-14 boys, Under-17 girls and Under-17 boys.
In the Under-12 boys final, Bhavan's Ashti defeated Bhavan's Trimurti Nagar 2-1. Rihan Sharma scored both goals for the winning team. Yashvin Khadilkar scored one goal for Bhavan's Trimurti Nagar.
In the Under-14 boys final, the match between DPS Mihan and Bhavan's Trimurti Nagar remained goalless for the full time, after which the contest went to a penalty shootout. DPS Mihan won 3-1 in the penalties. Goalkeeper Aditya Bang made a crucial save which helped DPS Mihan win the title. Daksh Yadav, Videsh Swaminathan and Atharv Mishra successfully converted their penalties into goals for the championship.
In the Under-17 girls final, a tough contest took place between DPS Mihan and DPS Lava, in which neither team could score in the stipulated time. DPS Lava won 2-1 in the penalty shootout, with Arya Thakre and Vishweshwari playing key roles in the victory.
In the Under-17 boys final, DPS Mihan faced DPS Kamthi Road. The score was 1-1 at the end of the stipulated time. Aditya Khambre scored for DPS Mihan and Saish Lanjewar scored for DPS Kamthi Road. DPS Mihan won 2-1 in the penalty shootout, with Bhavya Turkar and Arnav Uprade converting their penalties into goals.
Individual honours were awarded across all four categories. Under-12 boys: Sankalp Tembhurne (Player of the Tournament) from Bhavan's Ashti and Shaurya Kohle (Best Goalkeeper) from Bhavan's Trimurti Nagar. Under-14 boys: Lakshya Meshram (Player of the Tournament) and Aditya Bang (Best Goalkeeper) from DPS Mihan. Under-17 girls: Arya Thakre (Player of the Tournament) from DPS Lava and Aadhya Lakudkar (Best Goalkeeper) from DPS Mihan. Under-17 boys: Shashank Singh (Player of the Tournament) from DPS Kamthi Road and Rudra Shende (Best Goalkeeper) from DPS Mihan.
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Stanley Gregory, Secretary of the Nagpur District Football Association, took part as the chief guest. Pro Vice Chairperson Tulika Kedia and Director Savita Jaiswal spoke about the role of sports in boosting confidence and team spirit. Principal Nidhi Yadav extended best wishes to all participants and winners.
