J.N. Tata Parsi celebrates harvest with Standard IV Talent Fest

NAGPUR: Students of Standard IV at J.N. Tata Parsi Girls' High School and Junior College, Nagpur presented a Talent Fest on September 8, 2026, on the theme "Joy of Harvest," celebrating India's rich agricultural heritage and the hard work of farmers. The programme opened with a PowerPoint presentation showcasing different crops grown across India, followed by a colourful tableau depicting various harvest festivals.

The students presented dances representing Onam of Kerala, Lohri of Punjab, Bihu of Assam, Lezim of Maharashtra, Rajasthani folk dance, and the rain dance "Ghanan Ghanan Gir Gir Aaye Badra." They also performed a skit on the process of growing crops, from sowing and nurturing to harvesting, and another skit portraying the struggles of farmers, conveying a message of gratitude and respect for those who work to feed the nation.

Musical and poetic presentations added to the fest. The English Choir sang "I've Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy Down in My Heart" and the "Harvest Song," while the Hindi Choir presented "Mere Desh Ki Dharti Sona Ugle." Students recited the English poem "Harvest Time," Marathi poem "Annadathyache Geet," and Hindi poem "Fasal Ki Muskan." A ramp walk showcased traditional attires of India.

Trustee Shernaz N. Daver, Headmistress Jasmine H. Godha and Supervisor Seema M. Joshi graced the occasion.
