Narayana Vidyalayam conducts two-day school health and wellness workshop

NAGPUR: Narayana Vidyalayam, Chinchbhuvan, conducted a two-day School Health and Wellness Workshop on August 1 and 2, 2026.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by resource persons Bhavisha Hirani, Principal of Podar International School, Deolali, Nashik, and Abhay Kumar Sontakke, Principal of Mount Litera Zee School, Kamptee, along with Rekha Nair, Principal of Narayana Vidyalayam. Vice Principals and teaching faculty attended.
On the first day, Bhavisha Hirani conducted sessions on growing up healthy, emotional well-being and mental health, interpersonal relationships, values and responsible citizenship, gender equality, and nutrition, health and sanitation. Through interactive discussions and practical case studies, she addressed creating emotionally secure and value-based learning environments.
On the second day, Abhay Kumar Sontakke delivered sessions on prevention and management of substance abuse, promotion of healthy lifestyle, reproductive health and HIV prevention, and safety and security against violence and injuries. His guidance equipped teachers with practical strategies to foster safe, healthy and supportive classrooms.
Principal Rekha Nair appreciated the contributions of the resource persons and said capacity-building programmes support education and student well-being.
