Narayana Vidyalayam students celebrate National Sports Day

NAGPUR: Narayana Vidyalayam, Chinchbhuvan, Nagpur, celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit, commemorating the birth anniversary of legendary hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand.
The celebration was graced by distinguished Sports Administrator and Educator Dr. Upendra Verma, Vice President of the Skating Association of Maharashtra, along with alumnus Mr. Wasu Gadge, Founder & CEO of Weqode Technologies, Vibe AI & UI/UX Academy and a Taekwondo champion.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome to the dignitaries. The highlight of the event was an exhilarating All Sports Demonstration, featuring hockey, skating, football, basketball, Taekwondo, calisthenics and gymnastics. The young athletes captivated the audience with their agility, strength, coordination and discipline.
Sportspersons were felicitated for their achievements. Dr. Upendra Verma then addressed the gathering, inspiring students to embrace discipline, perseverance and teamwork as essential ingredients of success.
The excitement soared during the House-wise Boys’ Tug of War, where the participants displayed tremendous strength, determination and team spirit. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem.
The celebration beautifully reinforced the message that true sporting success lies not merely in winning, but in dedication, resilience, teamwork and the courage to never give up.
