Sandipani (Hazaripahad) students win First Prize at GMRT National Level Science Project

NAGPUR: Meghna Iyer, Ashna Gusain and Khushi Puri of Sandipani Junior College (State Board), Hazaripahad, won the First Prize at the GMRT National Level Science Project Exhibition and Competition 2026, organised by NCRA-TIFR, Pune.

They worked on the project Eichhornia to Electricity: Weed to Volt, under the guidance of their mentors Hemant Gedam and Pradnya Gedam. The students won among participants from across India and international entries from countries including UAE and Singapore, according to a statement issued by the school.

School President Rajashri Shrikant Jichkar, Chief Advisor Lata Thergaonkar, Manager Mrunalini Kale and Principal Gargee Sharma wished the students and the mentors success in their future endeavours.
