St. Ursula inaugurates Teachers' Reading Club

NAGPUR: The English Department of St. Ursula Girls' High School and Junior College inaugurated The Literary Lounge, a Teachers' Reading Club initiated by Manager Rachna Singh to foster a culture of reading, enhance language skills and promote continuous professional learning among teachers.

Special Guest Sonia Singh, Trustees MRBE and Principal of Bishop Cotton School, CBSE, Sadar, attended the ceremony. Heads of the various Institutions of MRBE, CNI, were present as Guests of Honour. Phonic Expert Komal Khubchandani conducted a session on phonics and effective language-learning strategies.

Manager Rachna Singh and General Administrator Parvati Joseph appreciated the initiative. Principal Sheetal Peter encouraged teachers to make reading a lifelong habit and inspire the same among students.

Rachana Anand conducted the programme, with Nilofer Parveen proposing the vote of thanks. The event was guided by Manager Rachna Singh, Principal Sheetal Peter, General Administrator Parvati Joseph, and Heads of the English Department Rachana Thorat, Dorathy Timothy and Rachana Anand.

The programme featured prize distribution for the Teachers' Handwriting Competition.
