NAGPUR: St. Ursula Girls' High School & Junior College organised a Parenting Skills Session titled "The Resilient Tree" for parents of Standard X students, in collaboration with Psych Tools, Germany.
The session drew on the S.T.E.P.S. (School-wide Training & Education of Psychological Skills) Programme, developed by Dr. Rachit Singh, Founder of Psych Tools, Germany. Over two years, the school has implemented workshops on self-motivation, stress prevention, bullying and mobbing prevention, and other life skills. Dr. Singh's Self-Motivation Workshop Series formed the basis of his doctoral research at Philipps University of Marburg, Germany.
Dr. Rachit Singh shared practical strategies to help parents support their children through the SSC Board Examination with confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
The programme was coordinated by Prashansa D'Lima, S.T.E.P.S. Coordinator, in collaboration with the Psych Tools team of Riya, Taniya, Komal and Samiksha. Class X teachers also coordinated the programme and encouraged parents to attend.
