St. Ursula students mark World Tribal Day

NAGPUR: St. Ursula Girls' High School & Jr. College celebrated World Tribal Day, highlighting the rich heritage, traditions and contributions of India's tribal communities. The chief guest was Dr. Roshini Iskape, an alumna of the school, while guests of honour were Bevei Konah Simoen, Lina Zhimo and Mathuselah Riameih from Manipur and Nagaland. Manager Rachna Singh and Principal Sheetal Peter attended.
The programme included prayers, Bible reading, action songs by the Sunshine Choir, a presentation and tribute to Birsa Munda, a welcome dance, a presentation on tribal communities, the musical play Rapunzel, gratitude expressions in English and Gondi, and a tribal dance. The Sunshine Cabinet Installation Ceremony was held.
The school's Football Team and Indian Talent Olympiad achievers were felicitated. Dr. Roshini Iskape and Rachna Singh addressed the gathering. The programme was conducted by Sunshine students, with Ashrita Bhelwa, Sunshine Coordinator, proposing the vote of thanks.
