Bhavan's BVM SKN students and teacher win prizes at Literary Odyssey

NAGPUR: Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, Nagpur celebrated a display of talent and creativity as its students and a teacher made their mark at ‘Literary Odyssey’, the literary festival organised by Delhi Public School (DPS), MIHAN, Nagpur. Bringing together a range of literary, cinematic and theatrical competitions, the festival provided an enriching platform for participants to express their creativity and showcase their diverse talents. In ‘Cinespeak’, a short film-making competition, the school team secured the First Prize in the Best Short Film category. The young contenders also excelled in individual categories. Miss Renuka Dange secured the First Position in Best Director, Mast. Siddhant Malu secured the Second Position in Best Screenplay while Miss Umaiyma Rizvi won the Third Position in Best Actor. Their achievements reflected their creativity, teamwork, cinematic skills and storytelling abilities. In ‘Curious Chronicles’, Mast. Chanakya Agrawal secured the Third Position in the ‘Future Me’ competition. The student performers were challenged to envision themselves 20–30 years into the future and weave their aspirations into an imaginative story. Mast. Chanakya captivated the judges with his originality, imaginative ideas and confident presentation, earning recognition for his creative vision and storytelling skills. The teaching fraternity, too, made its mark at the festival. In ‘Moods & Expressions’, a competition centred on dramatic reading and enactment of scenes from the plays of playwright William Shakespeare, Shri Rohan Nicholas, T.G.T. (Physics), delivered a compelling portrayal of the iconic character Hamlet and secured the First Position. His expressive delivery, powerful stage presence and nuanced characterisation earned him recognition. The achievements of the students and teacher brought pride and distinction to Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, and highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering creativity, confidence, literary expression and diverse talents among both students and teachers.
