NAGPUR: At Bhavans, Shrikrishnanagar school, Chancellor Shri K M Munshi Inter-School Sports Quiz Competition organised.

Shri K M Munshi founded Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan so that the all-round development of students would be achieved and so that Indian culture, traditions and values would be preserved and promoted. Keeping in view the aim that the traditions, values and thought of modern India be promoted, and that the studious attitude of students in the world of sports also increase, at Bhavans, B P Vidyamandir Shrikrishnanagar school, an inter-school sports quiz competition was organised on 9 February 26 on the occasion of the memorial day of Chancellor Shri K M Munshi. 13 schools from Nagpur city and its surroundings registered their participation in this competition. The programme began with lamp lighting and an all-religion prayer. Tribute was paid to the portrait of Chancellor K M Munshi by the hands of the dignitaries. The chief guest at the programme was Dr. Amit Samarth, director of Tiger Man Sports Private Limited and Pro Health Foundation. In his guest address, he explained to the students the importance of outdoor games from his own experience. 'Students, deliberately make time for sports; sports can play a very important role in making your mark in society. Various challenges will be in front of you; face those challenges. Only with a healthy body will you be able to enjoy all comforts and live a happy life. So pay attention to increasing your physical capacity.' Such an appeal he made to the students. On this occasion, an inspiring video of Dr. Amit Samarth's success and hard work in national and international cycling competitions was shown to the students. Out of the thirteen participating schools, four schools reached the final round. The final match was played out in front of an audience. In this, four different rounds were held. Coming first in the final competition, Bhavans, Civil Lines school won. The second position was captured by Lloyds Vidyaniketan Wardha school, while the third position was obtained by Bhavans Shrikrishnanagar school. The rotating trophy was captured by Bhavans B.P. Vidya Mandir Civil Lines school. Mrs. Aarti Lanjewar and Mr. Saurabh Kubde (parent representatives) were present at the programme. The programme was compered by Miss Ritisha Chopde and Miss Swarangi Bhavik, while the welcome speech was given by Miss Ashima Lanjewar. Miss Bhavya Tiwari paid tribute to Shri K M Munshi with floral words. Miss Arya Pathak gave the vote of thanks. Under the skilled guidance of the school's Principal Shri Lalit Dinkar Joshi and Vice-Principal Mrs. Manisha Sharma, Mr. Omprakash Wasnik and Mrs. Samina Kausar carried out the responsibility of the programme.
