Bhavan's BVM SKN Class X students observe Aasheervachanam blessing ceremony

NAGPUR: Bhavan's B. P. Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, organised the ceremonial function Aasheervachanam on January 29, 2026 to bless the students of Class X. Air Marshal Ajay Kumar Pan, AVSM, VSM, SMSO Maintenance Command (MC) Head Quarter, Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur, attended as Chief Guest.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by the Sarva Dharma Prayer. The Chief Guest received books including Ramayana Darshanam and Bharatmata Sadanam, a Pictorial Presentation of Sanskritik Kendra at Koradi.

Class teachers Manisha Rathkanthiwar, Vani Shende, Sonia Nare, Shikha Chawhan, Sonali Dey and Nandita Deshpande addressed their respective classes, reflecting on their years of association with the students and blessing them with guidance for their future.

The Class X students paid tribute to the motherland by lighting earthen lamps on a decorated map of India. The diya-lighting symbolised truth, knowledge and their step into a new phase of life. The school choir added elegance to the occasion with melodious singing.

Principal Lalit Dinkar Joshi illuminated the gathering with a soulful recitation from the Taittiriya Upanishad, and urged students to carry forward its noble values. The Chief Guest addressed the students on stepping into the future with courage, confidence and a strong sense of purpose, noting that success is measured by character and values, not only marks. He encouraged students through examples of Harivansh Rai Bachhan and Sohanlal Diwedi to remain disciplined, humble and make a positive difference in society. The Chief Guest thanked the teachers and parents for guiding students and shaping their character.

Parents Hemant Punyani and Deepali Mohite shared memories and experiences with the school. As a gesture of affection, Class X students presented a contribution to the school.

The dignitaries who graced the occasion included Shubhra Pan, Sunanda Sonarikar (Secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra), K. M. Agrawal (Treasurer, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra), Q. H. Jeevaji (Kendra Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra), Pankaj Chande (Chairperson SMC and Kendra Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan), Padmini Jog (Kendra Committee Member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra), T. L. Raja (Joint Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra), Anju Bhutani (Academic Coordinater and Manager, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra), Vandana Bisen (Principal, BVM Ashti, Nagpur), Parwati Iyer (Principal, BVM Trimurti Nagar, Nagpur), Sarbani Bose (Principal, BVM Koradi, Nagpur), Swapnil Giradkar (Assistant Registrar, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra) and Parent Representative Aarti Lanjewar.

Vice Principal Manisha Sharma and Programme Incharge Monesh Thorat guided the event, with Aruna Upgade as Assistant Incharge. Proceedings were conducted by Nilima Handa, and Poonam Manni proposed the vote of thanks. CA Shrutika Inani (Vice Chairperson EPTA) and CA Nilesh Sindhwani (Joint Secretary EPTA) were also present.
