Bhavan's BVM SKN Std. X students mark Aasheervachanam farewell ceremony

NAGPUR: Aasheervachanam, the farewell ceremony for Std. X, was held at Bhavan's BVM SKN, Chinchbhuvan, Nagpur on January 24, 2026. Chief Guest Dilip Kumar, Senior Commandant and Chief Airport Security Officer, CISF Unit, Nagpur Airport, addressed the gathering.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by the recital of Sarva Dharma Prayer. Class teachers Avani Mehta and Tracey Raulkar shared reflections on each student and their aspirations. Principal Raji Srinivasan led the Exhortation Ceremony. Students paid tribute to the nation by lighting earthen lamps whilst the school music group rendered a patriotic song.
Chief Guest Dilip Kumar addressed the students, emphasising that hard work, self-confidence, punctuality, time management, concentration, and vision are essential qualities for success. He urged them to cultivate a lifelong love for learning and remarked that Board Examinations are a milestone, not the final destination. He said that serving the nation with integrity is the most noble profession.
Parents Renuka Borole and Kariyampalli Varghese George expressed their gratitude for the school's role in their wards' education. Those who attended included Rajendra Purohit (Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra), Dr. Sunanda Sonarikar (Secretary), K. M. Agrawal (Treasurer), Q. H. Jeevaji, Dr. Pankaj Chande, and Padmini Jog (Kendra Committee Members). Also present were Swapnil Giradkar (Assistant Registrar), Lalit Joshi (Principal, Shrikrishna Nagar), Vandana Bisen (Principal, Ashti), Parwati Iyer (Principal, Trimurti Nagar), Srimathy S. Madkholkar (Principal, Kalasrijan), and Sanjeevji Bhakte (Parent Representative, School Management Committee).
The programme was compered by Prashant Ukalkar and Bina Bhutani proposed the vote of thanks. The ceremony was organised under the guidance of Principal Raji Srinivasan and the school's staff.
