DPS (Kamptee Road) Grade IV-D students mark Gandhi Jayanti

NAGPUR: The students of Grade IV-D of Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur conducted a morning assembly on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 1st October, 2026. The assembly commenced with a prayer, followed by a positive affirmation highlighting the values of truth, peace, kindness and non-violence. The students then shared information about Mahatma Gandhi and explained the significance of Gandhi Jayanti.

The students presented the important values taught by Mahatma Gandhi, including truth, non-violence, simplicity, cleanliness and peace. Through their presentation, they reflected on the importance of incorporating these values into their daily lives and demonstrated an understanding of Gandhiji’s teachings. A special performance by the students added energy and enthusiasm to the celebration.

The Principal, Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar, addressed the gathering and spoke about the relevance of Gandhiji’s teachings in our daily lives. She encouraged the students to practise truthfulness, kindness, cleanliness and non-violence and to become responsible individuals by following these values in their actions.

The assembly provided the students with an opportunity to learn about Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings and understand the importance of truth, peace, kindness and cleanliness in everyday life.
