DPS (Kamptee Road) students participate in Inter-School STEM Challenge INFINITY 2026

NAGPUR: Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur successfully hosted the Inter-School STEM Challenge ‘INFINITY 2026’ on 19th September, 2026 as part of its 20 Years of Excellence celebrations. The event brought together students from various schools to participate in a diverse range of STEM-based competitions, providing a platform to showcase talent, exchange ideas and develop creativity, innovation, critical thinking and teamwork.
The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Sanjay J. Dhoble, Head and Senior Professor, Department of Physics, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. A physicist, researcher and Vice President of the Luminescence Society of India, Dr. Dhoble shared inspiring insights on scientific research, innovation and the importance of nurturing curiosity among young learners.
The virtual presence of Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson, Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur added significance to the occasion as she extended her wishes and appreciated the efforts of the participants. Mr. Anunay Kedia also graced the occasion virtually with his youthful presence, adding energy and enthusiasm to the event. Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director, Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur conveyed her warm wishes, encouraging the students to continue exploring and innovating. Mr. Indrajeet Parganiha, Bursar, DPS Kamptee Road and MIHAN, was also present virtually, extending his support to the successful conduct of the event.
The Principal, Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar, in her address, highlighted the significance of STEM education in shaping the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow. She encouraged the students to remain curious, think creatively and embrace challenges with confidence. She also emphasised that innovation begins with questioning, experimenting and learning from every experience.
The challenge featured exciting competitions across Grades III to XII, including Curious Canvas, Experiment Express, Novelty Lab Legends, Toon the Topic, Innovate to Illuminate, Math Talk, Math Maverick, Math Reelmania, Animate the Impossible, Escape.exe, Mind Striker, Real to Reel and Meme Design. From poster making, live science experiments and scientist role plays to working models, mathematics games, coding, animation, quizzes, documentaries and digital creativity, the participants displayed originality, scientific aptitude and problem-solving skills.
The competitions reflected a perfect blend of knowledge, creativity and innovation. The students impressed the judges with their confident presentations, practical ideas and collaborative approach while addressing themes such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, clean energy, cyber security and mathematics in everyday life.
The event concluded with the declaration of results, followed by the distribution of certificates, prizes and the Rolling Trophy. The Vote of Thanks acknowledged the efforts of the organising team, participants and mentors whose dedication contributed to the grand success of the event.
Overall, INFINITY 2026 was a grand celebration of scientific curiosity, creativity and collaboration, inspiring young minds to innovate for a sustainable future.
