NAGPUR: Republic Day Celebrated with Great Joy at Bhavans B.P. Vidya Mandir, Shrikrishna Nagar
The 77th Republic Day of India was observed at Bhavans B.P. Vidya Mandir, Shrikrishna Nagar, Nagpur with great joy, pride and a spirit of patriotism. This day is the echo of the soul of a sovereign nation. The programme began with the hoisting of the national flag by the hands of Mrs. Padmini Jog, Centre Committee member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Centre. After this, the spirited tunes of the national anthem filled the whole atmosphere with reverence and gratitude. Mr. Nilesh Sindhwani, Joint Secretary (EPTA), was present as another distinguished guest. On this occasion the chief guest was felicitated with a bouquet and a sapling, which is a symbol of the institution's commitment to protecting both nature and the nation.
Mrs. Padmini Jog Madam, in her speech, highlighted India's rich culture and values. Explaining the importance of 'Namaskar and the national flag, she said that these are symbols of our pride and national identity. Madam praised India's democracy and emphasised the great philosophy of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" – that is, the whole world is one family. Recalling the invaluable contribution of freedom fighters to the country and their saga of glory, she praised the alertness, courage and valour of the Indian armed forces. Miss Sanvi Fadnavis's welcome speech expressed with feeling the sanctity of the Indian Constitution and the invaluable sacrifices of the freedom struggle.
After this, a beautiful confluence of talent and emotions was seen in the programme. A group song presented by the students of Balmandir, patriotic songs by the students of Vidya Mandir and charming dance presentations, which went beyond words to express the feeling of devotion, unity and love for the country.
The emotional peak of the programme was adorned with speeches delivered in English and Hindi. In particular, the students, in their addresses, presented India's cultural diversity, eternal knowledge and constitutional values.
The programme was completed successfully under the skilled guidance of the school's Principal Mr. Lalit Dinkar Joshi. Vice Principal Mrs. Manisha Sharma, programme in-charge Mr. Dinesh Salunke and assistant in-charge Mrs. Sheetal Gujar, and all the teachers made their important contribution to the success of the programme. To celebrate the glory of the golden history of national freedom, we hold national festivals. To carry forward this tradition of national pride, the 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great pomp in the premises of the Bhavans Shrikrishna Nagar school.
This auspicious and joyful programme began with the flag salutation of the Tricolour, the symbol of India's honour, by the hands of chief guest Mrs. Padmini Jog, Centre Committee member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Nagpur Centre, Nagpur, and School Management Committee member, Bhavans B. P. Vidya Mandir Shrikrishna Nagar, Nagpur. The Honourable chief guest, the N.C.C. squad and all those present, singing the national anthem, gave an honourable salute to the national flag fluttering with great splendour. On this proud occasion the atmosphere became joyful with patriotism. After the flag hoisting, the guests were welcomed with saplings.
Chief guest Mrs. Padmini Jog, impressing the students as well as the audience through her speech, convinced them of the importance of Namaskar and yoga practice. Also, giving a valuable message to the parents, she said that children are the future of India, look after them well. Also, she guided the students by narrating incidents from the life of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
The students of Balmandir and Vidyamandir expressed love for the country through songs in their sweet voices. The audience was delighted by the very sweet voices of these children. The child artists of Vidya Mandir showed the rich cultural tradition of India through dance and displayed the feeling of unity in diversity.
In the presence of the chief guest and other dignitaries, an edition of the newsletter, presenting a glimpse of the school's various kinds of achievements, countless activities and other programmes, was released.
Another dignitary, Mr. Nilesh Sindhwani, Joint Secretary (EPTA), added to the splendour of the programme by attending it. The students Miss Devesha Shrivastava and Miss Bhumi Patel conducted the programme, while Miss Manasvi Banode gave the vote of thanks.
