NAGPUR: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir (BVM Ashti), Ashti, Nagpur, organised a CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Kaushal Bodh: Skill Education on October 17, 2026. The workshop aimed to strengthen the understanding and effective implementation of skill-based learning in schools, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023. A total of 78 participants attended.

The workshop was conducted by resource persons Vandana Bisen, Principal, BVM Ashti, and Savita Ajay, who guided participants through the key concepts and practical aspects of implementing Kaushal Bodh in schools.

The sessions focused on the significance of Skill Education, its integration with other subjects, the three forms of work outlined in NCF-SE 2023, and the project-based learning approach of Kaushal Bodh. Participants explored curricular goals, competencies and learning outcomes, the structure and progression of projects across classes, and strategies for selecting suitable activities for their schools. The programme also emphasised assessment and evaluation tools, preparation of implementation plans, integration of Skill Education into the school timetable, identification of teachers, and the provision of infrastructure, tools and resources.

Satish Kumar Pahal, Joint Director, CBSE, Skill Education, Delhi, addressed and interacted with the Principals and participants of the Kaushal Bodh session. Principals representing 22 CBSE schools participated in the address.

Principal Vandana Bisen led a question-and-answer session with Satish Kumar Pahal, in which Principals raised queries on the implementation of Kaushal Bodh and Kaushal Vikas. The discussion helped clarify important aspects of both initiatives.

Participants reflected on classroom practices, planned skill-based activities, and explored ways to nurture practical skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities and experiential learning among students.

The programme was anchored by Smita Vishwakarma and Christopher Paul, who also proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guest, resource persons, participating Principals and teachers.
